Among the Ancients, otium was a quest for inner greatness — an elevation through study, contemplation, and transmission. Far from the tumult of the City, the otium opened an interstice of Silence; a sanctuary for the shaping of the mind; an ascent.
This heritage, we have chosen to revive. OTIUM upholds a forgotten standard: the transmission of fertile thought, written in the heart of our cultural legacy. To this end, we select Praeceptor of exception to shape a place devoted to Knowledge — selective in its creation; generous in its diffusion.
In the spirit of Petrarch, the first humanist of the Renaissance, we believe in a return to the heights through discipline. OTIUM, Maison dedicated to Knowledge, is also a sanctuary of harmony: between the rigour of selection and the accessibility of sharing; between the intimacy of an academy and the silent echo of infinite spaces…
